Peasantry TTRPG

Update #3 - Roadmap & Current Projects

Road Map:

Phase 1: Writing and Playtesting

This is the current stage I am in. I would like to complete roughly 90% of the writing and have a decent pool of playtest information collected. I am also trying to build a small following before moving to Phase 2.

Phase 2: Pitching/Self-Publish

This is the next phase where I determine whether I can/want to pitch to an established publisher or start investigating how I can make a self-publish work. I want to have a decent following and data collected to show to a publisher if I go that route.

Phase 3: Kickstarter

We launch the project and advertise to the ends of the earth. If all goes well we will be funded!

Phase 4: Fulfillment

We have money, we have power, now we flood the world with peasants. This is so far into the future I have no plans yet.

Peasantry Core Book: Demo/Playtesting

The core book is nearly complete. I am currently running playtests and demos for the game. The book itself will not be very long, maybe 80 pages or so (unless I get inspired and add something)

Adventures:

I am working on creating several short (6-12 page) adventures that may become an anthology or individual zines for Peasantry. Here is what they are and where they are at in the design process.

A Wizards Sojourn: Writing/Playtesting

The wizard Troldalf has tasked you peasants with housesitting his magical tower! You must complete chores and greet guests! What could possibly go wrong?

NecroBouncer: Outline

A zombie nightclub named “The AfterLife” has sprung up beneath the King’s City. As peasants you smell like death and look like it too. Sneak in and eliminate the source of these zombies. But beware THE NECROBOUNCER!

The Blind Pig: Concept

The Mad King has outlawed all alcohol. Fortunately a friend has told you about “the blind pig”. Apparently there is a speakeasy inside. Wait… there is a speakeasy inside the speakeasy? And another!? How far down does it go?

V.I.P: Outline

Vampires in Paris. A desperate man dressed as Dracula has fled an upper-class costume party in embarrassment. Apparently he had a fling with his boss. Oh and he accidently left a love letter in her room… Can you go retrieve it?

Cock and Ball: Concept

You and your buddies are finally doing it. A chance to escape this god-forsaken village. Some silly pirate captain has traded his ship/crew to you smug fellows. All he asked in return was a quiet retirement raising chickens in the country, which you provided. Are you up to the task of leading a pirate crew on the high seas, or is mutiny going to spell your end?

Devil’s Advocate: Concept

A devil has been charged with predatory lending amongst other crimes. The courts have appointed THE BEST peasant lawyers for the job! Can you prove his innocence? Or will you simply DESTROY ALL THE EVIDENCE in exchange for eternal youth, power, and riches like the Devil promised?

G.C.A: Outline

Generic Chicken Adventure. I’ve been using this adventure as a TTRPG primer for years, let’s make it into a real adventure. Yes, there will be lots of chickens.
